“Mix” Moving to Danzapalooza for May Dance

April Prince and Ken NegleyFor the month of May, the “Mix” is moving to Danzapalooza. Danzapalooza is a social dance convention. There are workshops in Hustle, WCS, Two Step, Rhumba, Salsa, Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, and much more.

If you want to attend the whole weekend and sit with your friends from West Coast Wednesdays or the “Mix”, register online and where it says promo code, put in Mix.

If you just want to attend the “Mix” dance separately, we have a special rate of $15 which includes a free West Coast Swing lesson by April Prince and Ken Negley. This rate gets you into the “Mix” dance starting with the lesson at 8:00 and the open dance at 9:00 p.m. At midnight you can get into any of the dance rooms at Danzapalooza.

We look forward to seeing you at the next “Mix” Dance at Danzapalooza.

Remainder of 2013 Dates Are Announced

The Mix has released the remainder of its’ scedule. The dates are:

  • April 13th
  • May 25th
  • June 22nd
  • September 28th
  • October 12th
  • November 30th
  • December 21st

Basic Information

Come out (starting in September, 2012) to the newest place to west coast swing on weekends in Chicago—“The Mix”. Located at the Interclub Academy of Dance, “The Mix” offers:

  • two lessons, both from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.: one for beginners; one for intermediates
  • dancing from 9 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • two rooms of dancing;
  • cool beverages and snacks to keep you full and moving on the dance floor;
  • dressings rooms for changing into your dance wear;
  • one of the newest dance floors in the area—Interclub has been open since 2008;
  • great music spun by house DJ April Prince.
