Mix Celebrates One Year Anniversary With Guest Instructor Doug Rousar

Doug Rousar Mark May 12th on your dance calendar as The Mix celebrates it’s first year with guest instructor, and Midwest favorite, Doug Rousar. Rousar will teach two workshops for the evening:

  • 7:00–8:00 – “Fun, Musical Movements for Leaders and Followers”
  • 8:00–9:00 – “Hits and Accents”

Rousar is known on the dance circuit, not only as a champion dancer and head judge, but as the creator of the Golden Ticket Tour, an increasingly-popular Jack ’n’ Jill contest held at multiple events throughout the year.

The cost for the evening:

  • Lessons – $10.00 each
  • Open Dancing: $8.00
  • Both lessons and open dancing (Save $3 off the individual price): $25.00

Spend Saturday evening celebrating The Mix’s first anniversary with a national dance champion and a national-renowned DJ, at our home in Niles, IL.

Doug Rousar has been running events for about eight years, mostly known for his Spotlight New Year’s event that used to be held in Milwaukee, WI, now in Toledo, OH. His other project was the Wisconsin Dance Challenge which he ran with Vivian Hahn.

Basic Information

Come out to the newest place to west coast swing on weekends in Chicago—“The Mix”. Located at the Interclub Academy of Dance, “The Mix” offers:

  • dancing from 9 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • two rooms of dancing;
  • cool beverages and snacks to keep you full and moving on the dance floor;
  • dressings rooms for changing into your dance wear;
  • one of the newest dance floors in the area—Interclub has been open since 2008;
  • great music spun by house DJ April Prince.
